I can see you already laughing at the title....oh come on, we all have one.  It may be a sweater but it could be that pair of socks, the jeans, that old pair of underwear or ratty old t-shirt.  Maybe its worn in sneakers - who can say.   No matter what it is, we all have one.  One old, ugly piece of clothing that is SO ten years ago.  It has stains, it doesn't fit, its dated. You know that no one likes it.  Hell, you don't really like it.  The thing is, its been around so long that its managed to get itself entwined in your memories.  You're so comfortable with it that you cant let that ugly, unattractive, useless sweater go.
Now stop for a minute, and I want you to think about that piece of clothing.  Slowly, I want you to think about that sweater as your own extra body fat.  Its that old, ugly thing that you're so used to, that you can't even  imagine yourself without it and you certainly can't fathom throwing it out! After all, you've had [that] sweater since grade seven!  I know it seems hard to admit, but maybe its time to just, throw that sweater out.  Don't donate it  (NOBODY wants it, trust me!), don't put it away in a box.  Chuck that nasty thing; burn it even! (But make sure to get all the small animals out who have made it a home over the years!)    Tie that bag up, carry it to the curb and do your million dollar happy dance.

When you've had that million dollar happy dance and you've decided to throw out your fat, you're completely at peace with the trip - the trip to the new you.  If you're not quite ready to get rid of that sweater yet, I challenge you to read on.  You may come to realize how many things that sweater has actually taken away from you.
